Recognised for its pinkish-brown hue, natural fragrance, and soft texture, this ancient grain has been cultivated for centuries. It is packed with iron, antioxidants, and essential minerals earning it the name "medicinal rice" across generations.

Every variety we stock is grown using organic and sustainable farming practices. When you buy rice online from us, you are not just choosing quality you are supporting Indian farmers and preserving food traditions that matter.

The Hands That Grow Your Rice

Behind every grain of Kala Namak Chawal is Ram Chet Chaudhary a dedicated heritage farmer from the Terai region of Uttar Pradesh. For generations, his family has cultivated this rare variety using traditional methods passed down through time. When our founder first visited his fields, Ram Chet ji expressed something that became the heart of our mission.

"“Seeing your passion, I know this rice is in the right hands. As long as I am here, I will support you.”

Store all our rice in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from moisture and strong odours. Our aged basmati varieties (1121,1401, Traditional, Pusa 1509) remain excellent for 12-18 months and actually develop deeper aroma over time. Kala Namak and Gobindobhog are best consumed within 9-12 months for peak fragrance. Rose Matta, being unpolished with natural bran oils, is best used within 6 months. The less processed the rice, the sooner you should enjoy it and the more you will.
